Ferdinand beyer (querfurt, 1803 – mainz, 1863) was a german composer and pianist. well known in his day for his light music and piano arrangements of popular orchestral works, he is now mainly known for his book vorschule im klavierspiel (beginning piano school or elementary instruction book for the piano) op.101 (1851).. For the piano (vorschule im klavierspiel), op. 101, by ferdinand beyer 18(03–1863, w) as pubislh- ed in 1860. since that time it has been used by piano students through-out the world. when compared with piano methods written in the 20th and 21st centuries, it looks more like a technique book than a piano method..
